Norman Siegel is one of a kind. For decades he has stood for the downtrodden and has supported those whom justice had seemed to fail.
This is not the reason the Christopher A. Santora Educational Scholarship Fund is honoring Norman as our 2009 Man of the Year, however.
We are honoring our friend Norman Siegel because of all the work he has given and all the time he has devoted to all in the 9/11 community. Norman has been helping us and representing us for most of the 9/11 issues. He is one New Yorker who has never forgotten. He is humble and honest and deeply cares about all of us. We are honoring Norman because he has fought with us to correct the wrongs that have occurred in the past 8 years, and we want everyone to know about his kindness, generosity and humility. We want to say THANK YOU NORMAN for all that you have done and continue to do to keep the memory of September 11, 2001 alive in the hearts of all.
We hope that you will join us in celebrating Norman as our Man of the Year, and we hope you come and celebrate the young students who are the winners in our annual essay competition. We also hope that you will join us to celebrate a young life lost who loved to party and have fun—our dear son Christopher.
