As a future voter, I hope to see a more peaceful America. There is so much terror and hate in this world. We need to respect each other and prevent future wars. I would not want to see my family members go off to war and no other family should have to either. A strong President that will protect us from harm is what we need, whether it’s an African American, man or woman, young or old.

The first of three things that concern me as a future voter would be jobs. There are so many factories closing down. Many towns need these factories or stores to survive. Once a factory closes, people lose work and then they have to find somewhere else to live and eventually find another job, if they’re lucky. As this happens the place where they once lives becomes abandoned. A president should work hard to keep Americans working. If you only have a certain skill and that skilled job closes, welfare or food stamps would be their only options. But as we know homelessness is growing and that should not happen here in America. Products should stop being made over seas. Everything in our homes should be made here in the United States.

The second concern I have as a future voter would be healthcare. Why do we need to spend so much money just to see a doctor. When my mother was young she saw one doctor, who used to make house calls. Now we need to see many doctors for all different reasons. There are so many medications and so many people taking them, you would think they would be more affordable. People with serious health issues, diseases or allergies should not have to worry if they will be able to afford their medicine for the next month. Government should step in and help Americans be able to afford healthcare. Many citizens choose not to have a healthcare provider. It is just too much money, money they don’t have. This also means Americans are not protected from illnesses. Because of the lack of vaccinations diseases that were once abolished are making a comeback. This is a major health crisis we will have to deal with in our American future.

The third and last concern I have as a future voter is immigration. There are just too many people living in the United States. Americans are losing jobs, their jobs are being taken by people who don’t legally belong here. Americans can’t find jobs that were once paid very well because now they are given to others for less pay. This is outrageous for all our educated Americans who go to school and eventually go out looking for jobs to support themselves or their families. When my great grandparents arrived to America from Italy, they needed to provide forms or identification. Also what trade or skill they would be able to contribute to the United States. In today’s world we need to know why people are coming to the United States. It’s not just for freedom anymore. Safety for all Americans is at risk. All non citizens should be tracked and have a choice to become a citizen or go back to their native land.

Some actions our next President should take to address all concerns would be to fight for jobs in America. We spend so much money buying or producing products from other countries, that manufacturing in the United States has diminished. We need jobs to stay here and a strong President to talk to the remaining owners of manufacturing companies and make certain tax cuts or packages to ensure their factories and employees will remain in operation. Our next President should regulate health insurance for all Americans. Also fight to keep cost of medication down. It is time to get all healthcare providers and the government to take control and create affordable healthcare for all Americans. The last action our next President should address is to make sure who is coming in and out of the United States. Checkup on homeland security to make sure they are doing everything to keep us informed. Our safety depends on it. Fake identifications, driver’s licenses and social security numbers need to be found. It might take lots of time, money and help but it needs to be done to keep us protected by anyone who wishes to hurt us. There are far too many immigrants who come to this country who find work and live decent lives but those who come here and commit terrible crimes should be detained and sent back for punishment.

In conclusion I believe our next President will lead us in the right direction. My concerns and issues are important as of many others that have to be addressed. Our next President must be fully aware that there is a lot of work to be done. There are many changes to be made to push our nation ahead. We must end the war and bring peace and respect back to one another. Without this, our nation’s struggles and stress will continue to break us apart. A leader who will boost our economy, bring unemployment down, protect our welfare, keep the peace and save our planet. A strong President now means a world of promise for all of us future voters.
